Three Peaks Challenge

A group of six attempted this challenge on 24th-25th July. A Chelmsford GP and friend Mike Radford, provided back up support and transport. The challenge was difficult and hampered by poor visibility and wet weather. Everyone persevered despite this and spirits didn't flag, except for an unexpected encounter with some scree on Scafell Pike where participants  wished they were anywhere else but where they were. We started the challenge at 3.45 pm on 24th July at the base of Ben Nevis and finished at 9.15 on 25th at the base of Snowdon. Five of us completed all 3 peaks, while Ismaila Ceesay managed the first and last, which was still an impressive achievement for someone who hasn't seen a mountain before.
