Education as a way out of poverty



Gt Totham School and The Plume School visited Bansang, Jan-Feb 2010 following arrival of the container sponsored by Maersk. This carried school and football equipment donated by Maldon Saints football team, Gt Totham School and The Plume School.

The whole village came to witness events at Mabali Kuta school, pictured observing are women and men of the village.

A cultural entertainment was performed at BSSS following the Anglo-Gambian football match on 2nd February 2010. Local Tribes performed their traditional dances to drums.

A warm welcome was received from everyone we met. The Principal of Mabali Kuta and school board members welcome us for dinner on the visitors' final night in Bansang.
